Synergy between science, field and technology
Serious games can add value in endless areas. Yet we have increasingly specialized in developing solutions for the healthcare, education and exercise sectors. This is not by chance. They are all important focus areas for unlocking a healthy and happy life. And that is what we are going for!
In addition, a practical consideration plays a role. You never make a good serious game on your own. We need input from people on the shop floor, from researchers and from experience experts. Within health care, education and the exercise sector we have built up a broad network of renowned partners. This allows us to quickly connect all the necessary expertise.
How does a tender of a serious game work?
Procuring a serious game is a profession in itself. Buyers from organisations and developers interact during the process, even though they do not always speak the same language. Maarten Stevens and Agnieszka Buursma have written a white paper on this process.

Learning from each other internationally
We had the following eye-opener: if we develop a game about online bullying, it is a shame to be able to use it only in the Netherlands. Cyberbullying is a global problem, so why not work together to find a solution? Since then, we have been working closely with international partners who, like us, focus on education and youth welfare. By working together, we can achieve more!
